You may already be familiar with Intellectual Property but this class will allow you to hone your skills by taking a closer look into the world of copyright law. The process of copyright registration is straightforward and inexpensive but some choose to forego the registration process altogether because their work is already protected. Although copyright registration is not necessary for a work to be protected registration provides other advantages including protection against infringement. With the advances in technology copyright protection has expanded to new works of art not previously at issue for protection as well as other issues that have cropped up due to business crossing international borders. These new developments require those who work in the area of IP law to stay abreast of these changes and their impact.
