Legal Case Management Certificate
This live on-line session is designed to introduce paralegal students to the use of evidence in a lawsuit or criminal action, the various types of evidence available, the paralegal’s role in gathering and organizing that evidence, and how to use it during alternative dispute resolution or trial. Fact patterns in four different areas of the law, intellectual property, medical malpractice, criminal law, and product liability will be used to illustrate scenarios a paralegal may encounter while attempting to gather evidence to support the client’s case. Published court decisions also provide real-life illustrations of admissibility issues involving different types of evidence.
